Key Stage 3 (KS3) is the start of secondary education for students following the National Curriculum for England (NCfE). The core subjects of the UAE (Arabic, Islamic Education and Moral, Social and Cultural Education) are also taught in KS3. In this phase students adopt increasingly more independence as they will now have specialist staff teaching all subjects with a single form tutor supporting their pastoral needs.
Core values of Excite, Engage, and Empower continue to underpin this part of every student’s journey as their individual interests develop, laying the foundations for subjects they may choose later at GCSEs and beyond.
Students are also encouraged to lead by example in the school community, taking an increasing role in leading events for the younger years as well as participate in recognised awards such as the International Duke Awards and the Karam Awards.
Subjects: Arabic, Islamic Education(for Muslim students), English, Mathematics, Science (comprising of physics/chemistry/biology), Moral, Social & Cultural Education, Computing, Art, History, Geography, Music, P.E., Swimming, French, Food Technology, Life Skills and Library.
