We are bubbling with excitement that our school has now reopened. It’s been a long road for many of us. However, with some restrictions now being lifted, it’s time to get life back on track, isn’t it? We are dedicated to ensuring a safe school reopening for your child and our whole community.
Whilst some of you may be concerned about returning your child to face to face learning in school, please be assured we have taken all precautions necessary. We’ve installed thermal cameras at our entrances and a rigorous daily schedule of rechecking temperatures throughout the day. We have put measures in place to ensure that safe distancing will take place and as per the KHDA regulations, all staff and children over six years old will be wearing masks. With these practices in place, we are confident that we will maintain our safe school.
The team at Smart Vision School choose to see these unusual circumstances as a time for teamwork. To ensure a safe school we ask that our parents play their part in safeguarding all children. This includes educating your child about hygiene and sanitising regularly. We ask parents to help children understand the importance of safe distancing and also the importance of wearing their masks. We would encourage all parents to read the DHA parents’ guide for returning to school.
Some of you may have revelled in this time at home with your children, even though much of what was happening around the world was shocking, it was also a time to slow down and enjoy time together as a family. Sending your children back to onsite school does have its advantages though.
Your child will be able to interact with other students again. They will be able to rekindle relationships that may have fallen by the wayside. Being in an onsite environment, learning alongside other students may give them more assistance than learning on their own at home.
If you do choose to keep your child at home with you, we completely understand this. And will support you. Distance learning is always an option for you and your children will still receive a wonderful all-round education. If this does turn out to be the choice you make, we ask that you ensure the following.
We ask you to make sure your child maintains a regular amount of physical exercise. It can be easy, when in a closed environment, for this to slip by the wayside. Being in an onsite school, this is a regular part of the curriculum. It may not be so at home. We will continue to support this with regular ideas and resources.
Maintaining good eating habits and a clean, healthy diet is also important. Without the influence of their peers and teachers, good eating habits could also slip. Eating healthy and maintaining a proper diet is imperative for concentration and good health.
Whichever option you choose, we want you to know that we are here to support you. At Smart Vision school, we are a small community, we go above and beyond to support and personalise, We are excited that our school is open and learning and laughter fill the rooms and corridors. Let us continue to work together to ensure that our children continue to have a healthy, happy environment where they feel nurtured and cared for. That’s our aim at Smart Vision School.
