Meet our leadership team

Steve Farish brings a wealth of experience in British international education, having held senior leadership positions across some of the UAE's leading British curriculum schools. During his career, he has served as Head of Secondary, Head of Middle School, Vice Principal and now Principal, leading whole-school improvement, strengthening academic outcomes and developing thriving school communities. Having trained as a Physical Education teacher, Steve has always been passionate about helping young people reach their full potential, both academically and personally. His leadership is built on the belief that every child deserves an exceptional education within a nurturing environment where they feel valued, challenged and inspired to succeed. He is committed to creating a culture of high expectations, strong relationships and continuous improvement, empowering both students and staff to flourish. Steve holds a First Class Honours degree from the University of Teesside, a PGCE from Durham University, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with Distinction from the University of Nottingham, and has completed both the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL). His leadership approach is firmly rooted in evidence-informed practice, collaboration and a commitment to ensuring every decision has a positive impact on student outcomes. As Principal of Smart Vision School, Steve is excited to lead the school into its next chapter. Working closely with students, families and staff, he is committed to building on the school's strengths while embracing new opportunities for innovation, growth and excellence. His vision is to create a school where every child is known, supported and inspired to achieve their very best, while fostering a strong sense of belonging and pride within the wider school community. Outside of school, Steve has lived in the UAE for thirteen years and has a wife and their three energetic sons to keep him on his toes. As a family, they enjoy travelling together and exploring different cultures. A keen sportsman and golfer, Steve strongly believes in the importance of wellbeing, resilience and teamwork - values that continue to shape both his leadership and the vibrant culture he strives to create within school."
