Celebrating multilingualism

At our British school in Al Barsha, Dubai, learners build strong English skills from the very start of their learning journey. Immersed in the English National Curriculum, they develop vocabulary, communication and confidence through daily language-rich experiences. As they move through Primary and into Secondary, their English continues to grow in depth and fluency, enabling them to learn, participate and achieve across the curriculum in English.
 
With teaching led by British educators and dedicated support for English Language Learners, every student is guided towards becoming a confident and fluent English communicator.

Arabic is a compulsory subject in all Key Stages and is taught in line with the Ministry of Education curriculum for both Arabic A students, who are native speakers, and Arabic B students, who are learning Arabic as an additional language. Through regular opportunities to speak, listen, read and write, students build confidence in both classical Arabic (Al Fos’ha) and conversational Arabic.
 
Their progress is further supported by online reading programmes, including I Read Arabic for native speakers and I Start Arabic for non-native speaker.

French learning grows with students at every stage through a progressive British Curriculum pathway. During Primary, children begin through songs, stories, games and simple routines, before moving into more structured speaking, reading and writing in Key Stage 2, where they learn to express themselves on everyday topics.
