As one of the best private schools in Dubai, we place students at the centre of our EdTech approach, using age-appropriate technology and purposeful digital experiences to enhance learning, engagement and independence. From iPads and interactive classrooms to coding, computing and online safety, technology is seamlessly integrated across the curriculum to accelerate progress, strengthen home-school partnerships and equip students with the digital skills needed for the future.
Through our thoughtful, age-adapted iPad programme, students and families benefit in meaningful ways:
Continuous learning
Students continue learning anywhere, anytime through a tool that promotes continuation, extension and application.
Future-ready skills
Learners develop lifelong skills including digital literacy, communication, creativity and critical thinking.
Improved accessibility
iPads provide access to people, places and experiences that would otherwise be unimaginable.
Independent learning
Learners are empowered with a tool that offers personal choice in how they access, organise, apply and present learning.
Parent engagement
Parents are informed and involved through a real-time, interactive window into their child’s learning.
All students from Year 3 to Year 9 use BYOD iPads as part of their learning toolkit, while children in Foundation Stage to Year 2 have access to shared sets of iPads for individual and small-group work.
Classrooms are equipped with interactive projectors, creating engaging and dynamic learning experiences. Teachers use professional Apple devices, including iPads and MacBooks, to support efficient lesson delivery and enrich learning through empowering technology.
Learners also study Computing as part of the curriculum, developing digital skills and confidence in using technology effectively.
All students are required to have an iPad with a minimum specification of iPad 10th Gen, 10.9-inch, Wi-Fi, 64GB. Devices meeting this specification should support learning throughout at least three years of schooling.
To support families, Smart Vision School works with JTRS, a leading Apple Solutions Expert in Education with more than ten years of experience in the UK and Dubai. JTRS partners with the school to enrol and maintain all devices within the school’s security system, helping to keep students and their iPads safe.
Every student iPad is enrolled in a Mobile Device Management (MDM) programme. This allows the school to support students in using their device safely and effectively during the school day, including managing bulk-purchased apps and maintaining security and content controls. All students receive training in the safe use of their iPad and are required to sign a Safe User Agreement before receiving their device.
In addition, the Smart Vision School Computing curriculum includes e-safety units for all Primary year groups, helping students develop the knowledge and habits needed to use technology responsibly.
Basic coding is part of the curriculum from FS2, giving students an early introduction to computational thinking and problem-solving. Each year, all students take part in the global coding initiative Hour of Code, hosted by Code.org.
In Primary, students learn through Apple’s Everyone Can Code programme, supported by the Swift Playgrounds app, which helps them develop coding skills and create apps using high-quality programmable devices.
A range of powerful applications helps give parents a meaningful window into their child’s learning while supporting the tracking of individual progress and next steps.
Seesaw enables teachers to regularly share multimedia examples of learning and achievement, helping parents engage with and celebrate their child’s journey through their own devices.
In Primary, Learning Ladders allows teachers to track each student’s progress from their individual starting point and monitor how they are moving towards expected outcomes. This clear, detailed overview helps teachers quickly identify gaps in learning, recognise strong progress and plan the right level of challenge for every child.
iPads may be purchased directly through our uniform supplier prior to the start of school.
